Miles of protected waterways bound by majestic mountains that rise straight out of
the sea, clusters of islands both large and small, numerous channels, inlets
and sounds combine to create the ideal paddling environment for both beginner and
experienced kayakers. |

The Caren Range is nearby, home to the endangered marbled murrelet, a drab, starling-size
seabird. Near too is the marshland around Sargeant Bay Provincial Park
is an important stopover for waterfowl such as harlequin ducks, Canada geese,
and trumpeter swans, as is the upland area for a host of migratory songbirds. |
Sechelt Golf and Country Club - Situated on a ridge above Porpoise Bay, this scenic golf course offers second-to-none
views from their sweeping fairways. There are just enough hazards to make
the course challenging, while the multiple tee system allows players to golf
at their own level. Public, 18 holes, Weekend 40 CAD, Weekday 36 CAD, Par 72.
The Sunshine Coast Golf & Country Club is a beautiful championship 18 hole golf course in Roberts Creek. It is one of British
Columbia's crown jewels of golf courses. Spectacular by nature, the Pender Harbour Golf Club at the top of the Sechelt Peninsula nestles in an idyllic setting. |
Hike the Caren Range - where there's excellent hiking among 1800-year-old trees, some of the most ancient
in Canada. These first-growth cedars date back to before the white man's arrival
on the Coast. - See notes about it Halfmoon Bay Hiking Trails - include wonderful hewn benches cut into fallen trees in cathedral-like stands of second growth cedar, an ecologically unique moss and lichen covered rolling hillside. We have maps and guide books to assist you. |


The Sunshine Coast has several hundred kilometres of trails offering something for
Mountain Bike riders of all skill levels. Trails range from easy cross country to gnarly downhills.
And of course we have a few freeride type trails with ladder bridges, skinnys
and teeter totters. Nearby Sargeant Bay Provincial Park is a good start. Rent or Repairs at On The Edge Bike shop in Sechelt. |
Princess Louisa Inlet - probably the most scenic fiord in the world with many waterfalls dropping right
down beside you, ice fields, fine swimming and a great trip getting there. The Malibu Princess provides a large boat experinece with a salmon dinner on board on an all day trip when tides are right. Alternativley, near daily trips are available on the 25 passenger boats of Sunshine Coast Tours. Both are great value. |
